Beachy-Keen Way to Kick-off BlogHer ’11
by: Infantino • August 10, 2011 • Posted in BlogHer, Mom Central, NEW PRODUCTS
The day started with ducks, over 200 of them. Some were destined for the “lucky duck” drawing pool, others to be “duckorated” – a term coined by our friends at MomCentral.
Then we moved our attention to the living room, veranda and kitchen transforming this beach-side home in Coronado into the perfect playdate space with fun food, activities and a candy bar!
With the finishing touches added we were ready for our guests. Over 30 bloggers from across the country in town for one of the biggest conferences around…BlogHer ‘11!
Folks made their way in, found their handmade (thanks Tracy) name tags and got the playdate started!
Bloggers got gifty with the new Infantino Comforting Play Collection, designed a Step 2 dream kitchen, fashioned new faces on some unsuspecting rubber ducks and were privy to the sneak peek of hot new products (one so new it didn’t even have a name yet).
All that playing worked up an appetite. All that needs to be said is DELICIOUS. Thank you Waters Catering, you did not disappoint!
The party ended where the day began, in the yard, by the water with the ducks. Amidst lots of cool Step 2 toys stood the Grand Walk-In Kitchen – the grand prize for the blogger with the lucky duck.
It was truly amazing to be in the company of such wonderful people that contribute greatly to the social space. We appreciate you coming to our playdate so we could meet in a good old fashion face-to-face way. And we look forward to keeping up our conversations in cyberspace.

Thanks Infantino…..this was one of my favorite events of all! I could have stayed on Coronado Island “duckorating” and enjoying the candy bar with you all day. Thanks for a wonderful afternoon……it was memorable!

Can someone please tell me where I can purchase these rubber ducks. I have a small business, and handcraft diaper cakes. I use these ducks on top of my cakes and can no longer find them in my area. Thanks in advance!!!!

Hi Whitney,
We sell the ducks at Walmart. They are shipped in a carton of 12 but are sold individually ($1 roughly). My advice would be to call your Walmart ahead of time and get them to set some aside for you.

And if that doesn’t work just give us a call http://www.infantino.com/customer-care/ and we’ll see what we can do.
